Photo Hunters: Candy

Raw dough formed into cookies

Not candy — cookies! Better than candy! Amelia (2nd daughter) has created a recipe for cookies that is so good that she now sells them for $2 each. The recipe is secret, of course, but she is sold out every day. She has two kinds: oatmeal-raisin-date-walnut and oatmeal chocolate chip. Each cookie is very large and all of the ingredients are organic. One cookie prevents my midmorning slump and keeps me going for hours, unlike cookies from processed foods and white sugar.

These walnuts are waiting to be roasted
before being added to the dough.

These are the chocolate chips and chunks that will go into her dough.
I used my new Canon Rebel for these photos
in order to practice program mode.

  1. Very nice. I love the texture and look of those cookies. Have a nice weekend. Loved those fractals.

  2. Oh, I would love to have those cookies, Andree. Organic did you say? Wow!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. A good practice subject of the new camera. I need to learn more about both of my cameras, and one I have had for three years.

  4. Those look scrumptious!

  5. Mmmmmm! That looks yummy for the tummy!

  6. That sounds delicious, although I am not a very "sweet" person, lol !
I am back from Greece and wrote my first impressions on my main blog.

  7. I am someone else who prefers cookies to candy though, truth be told, I actually don't eat much of either on account of being a more savoury snack kind of person!

  8. MMmm I scould use one of these right now.

I make oatmeal cookies fairly regularly using the old standard quaker recipe from inside their box--only with organic rolled out and ingredients, and substituting ww flour (org) for white flour and canola oil for butter.

It's pretty good, and pretty healthy when I'm done with it. And everyone likes them. Including me.

But I don't make them very often because I have a bad habit of eating them.

Nice pix, you must love your new camera.

  9. Are you sure your not willing to share this cookie recipe with any of us.
This morning I was watching a cooking show and at first I thought the guy was doing divinity but I actual he was doing merrique cookies.

    My photo is up.

  10. Those certainly look like yummy cookies!
