Cats Tuesday: Cat's Eye Cats

John took me to see Gemstar Gems in Enfield, New Hampshire this weekend. We found these tiny cats made from cat's eye. Cat's eye is a quartz with the quality of chatoyancy — a fancy name for a fancy gemstone.
Better known as a cat's eye this stone is named for the actions of a cat's eye when exposed to light. The line forms an aperture that opens and closes as it is rotated under a direct light source.

  1. That is quite a find! And quite a variety of colors (quartz is good for that).

  2. It's still cold here also. I see your temp. on your side bar. I live in Ontario Canada near Mtl. & close to Ottawa.
So you have 8 cat's and you have 8 Cat's eye's in your hand. How cool is that? Love all the colors.
Sorry you couldn't see my video. Now I'm wondering if you heard the song?
I do Cat Rescue. It's my passion along with dogs...but cat's are my favorite. Actually I love them all.
Sheba goes to the vet Thursday. She's in heat already. It has only been 2 weeks since she birthed 2 still borne.
    Poor baby
    Nice to meet you
    Love Claudie
